Lady Buckeye Invitational Final Results 
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Illinois (961) tallied a 10th-place finish at the Lady Buckeye Invitational after a final round 320 at the par-72 6,228-yard Ohio State Scarlet Golf Course. No. 13 Kent State (885) took home the team title, finishing 28 strokes ahead of second-place Ohio State (913).
"We have a few things to work on before heading to Big Tens," Illinois coach Renee Slone said. "We will take advantage of the next two days to get prepared and get in the right frame of mind."
Senior Kristine Cook (238) led the Illini during the final round, firing a 3-over 75. Cook finished tied for 29th with teammate Stephanie Mory (238), who carded a final round 80. Senior Seul Ki Park (241) turned in an 81 on Sunday to finish tied for 35th, ending her streak of nine straight top-18 finishes. Freshman Raquel Hopton (249) finished alone in 58th after a final round 85. Junior Nancy Featherstone (251) tied for 60th after a final round 84 and finished one stroke ahead of teammate Kristin Kallergis (252), who tied for 64th after carding an 89 on Sunday.
Three Big Ten teams, No. 20 Michigan State (917), Northwestern (923) and Wisconsin (924), rounded out the top five of the 12-team field. Illinois finished outside the top five for the first time in six tournaments.
Michigan State's Sara Brown (216) earned medalist honors after finishing at even-par and two strokes ahead of second-place Carling Coffing (218) of Ohio State.
Up Next: Illinois travels to State College, Pa., for the Big Ten Championship, hosted by Penn State, from April 25-27.
