1. Senior linebacker Brit Miller had another monster game with a career-high 17 tackles, including a sack, 1.5 TFLs and a forced fumble. He now has 110 tackles on the season and 33.0 career TFLs, which moves him into a tie for ninth on the UI career TFL list with Jerry Schumacher (1999-2002).
2. Junior quarterback Juice Williams had 396 yards of total offense today (328 passing and 68 rushing), which moves him into second place on the Illinois single-season total offense list with 3,356 yards. He is now behind only Tony Eason's school record total of 3,671 yards in 1982. His 68 rushing yards moved him into 14th on the UI career rushing list with 1,908 yards.
3. With one touchdown pass on the day, Williams now has 20 TDs on the season, which moves him into a tie for fifth on the UI single-season list TD passes list with Tony Eason (1981), and 42 in his career, which ties him with Jason Verduzco for third on the all-time Illinois career TD passes list.
4. Sophomore receiver Arrelious Benn had seven catches for 111 yards, his fifth 100-yard game of the season, to move up to seventh on both the Illinois single-season and career receiving yardage lists. He now has 947 yards on the year and 1,623 for his career. In addition, It was Benn's fifth 100-yard game on the season, which moves him into a tie for fourth on the single-season list, just one behind the record of six held by David Williams (1984 and '85) and Brandon Llyod (2001).
5. Benn also moved into both the single-season and career receptions lists today. His 60 receptions this season tie him for 10th place with Shawn Wax (1990) and John Wright, Sr. (1966), while his 114 career catches puts him in ninth place overall on that list.
6. Benn's 227 all-purpose yards (111 receiving, 75 kick return, 31 punt return, 10 rushing) moved him from outside of the top-10 all the way up to sixth on the Illinois single-season all-purpose yardage list with 1,496.
7. Freshman running back Jason Ford had a one-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, his seventh TD of the season.
8. Freshman defensive back Tavon Wilson had a career-high five tackles.
9. Redshirt-freshman Matt Eller kicked one field goal on the day and now has 12 for the season, which puts him one behind the Illinois freshman record of 13 by Chris Richardson in 1991.
10. Senior center Ryan McDonald made his 46th consecutive start today vs. the Broncos, which moves him to fourth on the Illinois top-10 list for career starts. McDonald is now tied with former defensive lineman Chris Norwell. He needs two more starts to tie the school record of 48.
