Matt Eller's two field goals in the second quarter brings his season total to 14, breaking the Illinois freshman record of 13 previously held by Chris Sigourney in 1991. Eight of Eller's 14 FGs this season have been from 40+ yards.
Senior center Ryan McDonald made his 47th consecutive start, which ties for second-most in Illinois history.
Juice Williams threw two touchdowns today, giving him 22 for the season, which moves him into a tie for third on the Illinois single-season TD pass list (tied with Jeff George, 1989).
Both Jeff Cumberland and Chris Duvalt recorded their fourth touchdown receptions of the season today, to now lead the team in touchdown catches on the year.
With his one pass broken up against Ohio State, Vontae Davis moves into the Illinois all-time PBU list, tied for eighth with 22.
Brit Miller posted his sixth double-digit tackle performance of the season with his game-high 14 stops today. Miller leads the Big Ten with 11.3 tackles per game on the year.
With his 65 yards receiving today, Arrelious Benn has surpassed 1,000 yards on the season. He now ranks fifth on the Illinois single-season receiving yardage list with 1,012 yards.
Benn also moved up on the Illini career receptions list, with his three catches today moving him into eighth on the all-time list with 117 receptions.
