URBANA, Ill. - The Illinois softball game scheduled for Sunday afternoon against Kankakee Community College has been canceled due to inclement weather. The game will not be rescheduled.

The Illini will open their fall season on Friday, Sept. 14, at the Chicagoland Fall Classic in Orland Park, Ill. The Orange and Blue will play a doubleheader, taking on Valparaiso at 7 p.m. and Olivet Nazarene at 9 p.m. The Illini round out the weekend on Saturday, Sept. 15 with another doubleheader, facing DePaul at noon and Kankakee Communnity College at 2 p.m.

Illinois will make its fall home debut on Friday, Sept. 21, hosting Parkland College at 6 p.m. at Eichelberger Field at Martin Stadium. The Illini will finish the fall season on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m., when the Alumni come to town for a showdown against the current Orange and Blue squad.
