In the second edition of the Illini Big Ten journal, senior Emily Wang talks about the team's upcoming match and this past week's practice.

This past week, we have been working on a lot of doubles specific drills. Our goal is to get the doubles point in our upcoming matches. We have all agreed that it is very important, and it will help our momentum going into the singles matches. Tonight we play Illinois State and we are very excited. My mom, Bryce's [Marable] parents, and Kristina's [Minor] whole family are coming for the match tonight.

We have done a lot of promotional stuff for tonight to try and get people out for the match, so hopefully as many fans that can will come cheer us on.

Next weekend, we are going to Texas for Spring Break. We will play the University of Houston, the University of Texas San Antonio and the University of Texas. We are looking forward to the break from school as well as the warm weather and competitive matches. The trip is going to be a blast, on top of which, we hope to bring back some wins.
