CHICAGO - The Illinois softball team's doubleheader against Loyola University, scheduled for a 3 p.m. start today in Chicago, has been cancelled because of rain. At this time, the games have not been rescheduled.

The Fighting Illini return to the diamond this weekend when they travel to Purdue for a two-game series on Friday and Saturday. Friday's game will begin at 3 p.m. (CT) and Saturday's will start at 11 a.m. The Illini wrap up the Big Ten trip with a doubleheader on Sunday, April 1, at Indiana beginning at 11 a.m.
