Champaign, Ill. - FINALLY!!! Our home curse is over! After losing a tough one in five to Northwestern on Friday night, we came to the gym on Saturday determined to beat a very good Michigan State team. They were coming off a great win at Wisconsin, making the game all the more valuable.

Coming into the match, everyone changed things up a little bit: the coaches dressed differently, we did our pregame rituals differently, we even danced differently! Whatever the jinx was, hopefully the Michigan State match ended it.

I can't even begin to describe the feeling in the team room after the win; it was as if a huge weight had been lifted off our shoulders. What a relief! There are only three weekends left in the Big Ten, but it's enough time to make our mark.

This week, we travel to Wisconsin on Wednesday and come back to Huff for Michigan on Saturday. Both matches are crucial to maintaining our third place standing in the Big Ten. If we play up to our potential, we have proven we can play with anyone.
