Carstens Claims Record: Senior goalkeeper Lindsey Carstens captured her 25th career shutout in Illinois' 3-0 win over No. 24 Indiana, putting her alone at the top of the record book for career shutouts. Carstens has eight shutouts this season, including a five-game shutout streak through the Indiana match. In addition, the West Chester, Ohio, native continues to hold the record for career goals against average, with a 0.93 GAA.

The Ella-vator: Senior forward Ella Masar scored to goals against No. 24 Indiana on Friday to lift the Illini to a 3-0 win. For her outstanding performance, Masar was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, third time in her career. Masar leads the team with eight goals and 19 points this season.

The Lowe Down: Ella Masar has been selected as finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. Masar is the only Big Ten representative among the 10 finalists. The award recognizes seniors who have outstanding character, in addition to success on the field and in the classroom. Fan voting will be combined with coaches' votes for the final result. Like It, Love It, Levitt: Junior forward Jessica Levitt tallied the second goal of her career in the final seconds against No. 5 Purdue. Since making the switch from the back line to forward this season, Levitt has started all 15 matches and contributed one assist in addition to her two goals.

Very Mary: Senior defender Mary Therese McDonnell netted her first goal of the season on a penalty kick against No. 24 Indiana. McDonnell has only missed one match in the back line for the Illini, playing over 1,200 minutes this season.

Ready, Aim, Fire: Illinois held a 22-11 shot advantage over No. 5 Purdue, making it the 12th opponent this season the the Illini have out-shot. Until the match versus No. 24 Indiana on Friday, where the Hoosiers and Illini each had 12 shots, the Orange and Blue had out-shot 10 straight opponents. Overall, Illinois has out-shot its opponents, 265-139.

UP NEXT
The Illinois soccer team wraps up the regular season with a pair of games on the road, traveling to Michigan and Michigan State. The Illini are pursuing their first win in Ann Arbor, where the Wolverines have been a top 25 team four out of the six times that the Illini have faced them on their home turf. The Orange and Blue have won the last two games in East Lansing, holding a 2-2 record.

Scouting Michigan: The Wolverines won their first Big Ten game last Sunday with a 2-1 victory over Wisconsin. Michigan has forced three ties against conference opponents this season, including Indiana, Purdue and Northwestern, all on their home field. UM is led by Amanda Bowery with 10 points (4g, 2a).

Scouting Michigan State: The Spartans have dropped seven of eight conference contests, as MSU was shutout in all seven losses. Michigan State captured its first conference win last Friday with a 2-1 victory over Wisconsin. The Spartans are led by Lauren Hill (6g, 3a, 14p) and senior Maureen Pawlak (5g, 4a, 14p).
