The Big Ten Men's Basketball Foreign Tour Team roster was announced today by conference officials, as Michigan head coach Tommy Amaker put together a squad comprised of 11 student-athletes from 10 different league schools. The Tour, which runs from August 8-18, is tentatively scheduled to include four games in Australia.
Senior-to-be Marcus Arnold will represent Illinois on the roster. In his first year with the Illini last year after transferring from Illinois State, Arnold played in 32 games, averaging 11.1 minutes. He averaged 3.5 points and 2.4 rebounds on the season and scored in double figures three times, led by a season-high 13 points vs. Missouri. Arnold is one of three seniors on the 2006-07 UI roster, along with Rich McBride and Warren Carter.
