Illini Orange will be present in Indianapolis as the city prepares for the Final Four. Coach Bruce Weber and seniors Dee Brown and James Augustine will all be participating in events leading up to the national semifinals.
First off, Dee Brown will be at Hinkle Fieldhouse on the campus of Butler University on Thursday, March 30 for the 18th annual slam dunk contest and 3-point challenge. Brown will participate in the 3-point shootout, with the event scheduled for 7 p.m. Indianapolis Time/6 p.m. Central Time. ESPN will air the event tape-delayed on Thursday at 8 p.m. CT and will re-air it Thursday at 11 p.m. CT on ESPN2 and Saturday, April 1 at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.
Illini Head Coach Bruce Weber will be patrolling the sidelines of Conseco Fieldouse on Friday, March 31, leading a collection of senior all-stars against the Harlem Globetrotters in the annual NABC College All-Star Game. One of the seniors on Weber's squad will be a familiar face in Illinois' James Augustine. The NABC All-Star Game is set for 7:30 p.m. Indianapolis Time on Friday. Tickets are currently available by visiting the Conseco Fieldhouse website. The game will air tape-delayed on ESPNU on Friday at 10 p.m. CT.
