CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The first episode of the 2006-07 Theresa Grentz television show will air this Sunday, Dec. 17, at 10:30 a.m. on WCIA Channel 3 in Champaign. This will be the 10th season of the show, which is hosted by none other than Coach Grentz herself. The show will feature Fighting Illini women's basketball highlights and in-depth player interviews, as well as specialty features, basketball tips from Coach Grentz and a weekly book recommendation from Coach Grentz.

The first show will get Illini fans caught up on the team's 8-2 start and will feature freshman center Jenna Smith in the studio with Coach Grentz.

After this Sunday, the show will take a two-week hiatus during the holidays before returning on a weekly basis on Sunday, Jan. 7, and running through the rest of the women's basketball regular season. The final show will be on Feb. 25. A full list of show dates is below:

After a week off for final exams, the Fighting Illini will return to the Assembly Hall floor this Sunday when the IPFW Mastodons come to town for a noon tip. Then, after road game at Bradley on Dec. 21 and some time off for the holidays, Illinois will open the Big Ten season on Dec. 28 by hosting Penn State at 7 p.m.
