Champaign, Ill. - Fighting Illini fans unable to make it down to Chapel Hill to watch the Illinois men's basketball team face North Carolina in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Nov. 29 will be able to catch all the action right here at Assembly Hall. The rematch of last year's NCAA title game will be shown on the state-of-the-art Assembly Hall videoboard. The watch party will be free of charge, with doors opening for the event at 7 p.m. and ESPN national broadcast scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
Over 13,000 orange-clad fans showed up for the watch party of last year's Illinois-North Carolina NCAA Championship match-up.
The game watch party will be the back end of a UI basketball doubleheader as the Illinois women open their home schedule against Northern Illinois at 6 p.m. that evening at Assembly Hall.
A regular game ticket will be required for admission to the women's game. Women's tickets will be sold until 7 p.m., at which time admission becomes free for the game watch.
Parking for the women's game will be the normal price of $3 up until 7 p.m., when the Assembly Hall lots will become free of charge as well.
