The third-ranked University of Illinois wrestling team video can now be seen on television and on www.fightingillini.com. For the next three nights, Insight Cable (Ch. 2 in Champaign) will be airing Illinois' match vs. Central Missouri State, which took place last Saturday. Beginning at 8:30 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 15, Thurs., Dec. 16, and Fri., Dec. 17, Illinois viewers in Champaign, Decatur (Ch. 13) and Springfield (Ch. 5) can watch the Illini defeat the Mules, 51-0. Tim Johnson has play-by-play action with Illini wrestler Troy Tirapelle providing expert analysis.
For Illini wrestling fans not living in those three markets, the Illinois Division of Intercollegiate now offers live (and archived) video for all six home matches this season on www.fightingillini.com. Currently, Illinois' match against CMSU is archived on the audio/video section of the website.
The College Sports Pass through College Sports Online and REAL costs $6.95 per month or $49.95 for a year. Subscribers can hear and see all Illinois web audio and video content, in addition to all offerings from CSO's partner schools, which is in excess of 140 Universities, including wrestling powers Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa, Iowa State, Lehigh, Cornell and Hofstra.
If a web user clicks on the Audio/Video page and selects an audio or video feature (assuming the person is not already a subscriber), the system will ask if the viewer would like to subscribe and take the person through that process.
Insight Cable will also televise Illinois' matches against Iowa (Jan. 28) and Indiana (Feb. 13)
