  • Senior fullback Carey Davis' 29-yard run in the first quarter was a season-long rush for the senior fullback. His 51 rushing yards were a season high, topping his earlier mark of 46 yards against Indiana on Nov. 8. Davis' 10 receptions tied his career high set earlier this season versus Missouri on Aug. 30.

  • Davis had 19 touches this game, five of which resulted in first downs.

  • Of junior receiver Mark Kornfeld's career-high 44 catches this season, 30 have converted first downs (68 percent). Both of Kornfeld's receptions today, one for 17 yards and one for eight yards, converted first downs.

  • John Gockman's 37-yard field goal in the first quarter was the first time that Illinois scored first in Big Ten play this season. Illinois' 13-7 halftime lead marked the first time the Illini have led at the half since the Illinois State game on Sept. 6.

  • Travis Williams' 32-yard interception return for a touchdown was the first of his career and was the first Illinois interception return for a touchdown since Ty Myers' five-yard return vs. Ohio State on Nov. 17, 2001.

  • Williams interception return was his second touchdown of the season. He also had a 66-yard touchdown return off a blocked field goal vs. Illinois State on Sept.6, 2003.

  • Ade Adeyemo set career highs in both receptions and receiving yards with his six receptions for 83 yards. His previous career highs were three receptions and 52 yards, both set last week vs. Indiana.

  • Freshman quarterback Chris Pazan had career highs in completions with 18, attempts with 28, and yards with 180. His previous highs were seven completions, 11 attempts, both versus Michigan State on Oct. 11, and 98 yards versus Iowa on Nov. 1.

  • Safety Marc Jackson and linebacker Winston Taylor both set career-highs with 17 tackles and two tackles for loss. Jackson's previous career highs were 14 tackles, set vs. Purdue on 10/12/02 and one TFL vs. both Minnesota (10/25) and Iowa (11/1) this season. Taylor's career bests prior today were 16 tackles vs. California on 9/20, and one TFL vs. Purdue (10/4) and Michigan State (10/11) this season.

  • Matt Minnes' punting average of 48.5 yards was a career high, eclipsing his earlier mark of 46.0 yards vs. Michigan on Oct. 18.

  • Dating back to the 1998 season, Illinois has connected on a school-record 193 straight extra point attempts.
