RAVENNA, Ohio -- The Illini finished 15th with a tournament total of 612 at the rain-shortened First Energy Intercollegiate. One round was played Friday with the second round being postponed at the 70-par, 6,936-yard Windmill Lakes Golf Course. Only one round was played today too. The host Kent State Golden Flashes won the 19-team event with a score of 574.
Tim Riley fired a 1-over par 71 in the final round today. He led the Illini tying for 29th place with a total of 148 strokes. Geoff Lound tied for 50th with a tournament total of 153. Ryan Tendall shot a 157 to tie for 71st. Evan Olson tied for 75th with a 158. Ryan Moore shot a 160 to tie for 83rd.
The Illini travel to East Lansing, Mich. for the Fossum Invitational Saturday and Sunday before returning home to host the Big Ten Men's Golf Championship at Stone Creek Golf Club in Urbana May 4-6.
