COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Senior Larry Nuger shot a 1-under par 143 to finish second at the Falcon-Cross Creek Invitational. Nuger shot a 71 on Friday and a 72 Saturday. A third and final round was scheduled for today, but a coaches vote cancelled the last day of the tournament due to cold, snowy weather. Ben Leestma of the host Air Force Academy was the individual winner with a 4-under 140 on the 72-par, 7,301-yard Eisenhower Blue Course.

The Illini finished fourth out of 24 teams with a two-round total of 595. The University of San Diego won the tournament with a team total of 585. Illinois finished higher than conference foe Wisconsin. The Badgers tied with Xavier for seventh. Both teams will be participating at the Northern Intercollegiate on Saturday in Urbana.
