COLUMBUS, Ohio - University of Illinois freshman Geoff Lound continued to pace the Illini
in the second and third rounds of the Kepler Intercollegiate in Columbus,
Ohio. He shot a 77 and a 74 today to finish with 227 and a tie for 19th
place. In Friday's first round, Lound shot a 76 on the 72-par, 7,141 Ohio
State University Scarlett Course.
The Illini continued to struggle through round two, shooting a 322. They
improved 12 strokes in the final round, shooting a 310, but it was not
enough to move them up from 17th place.
The Illinois men will return to action April 22-23 at the Cobra/Firestone
Invitational in Akron, Ohio.
