CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) - Cory Bradford scored 15 points as No. 8 Illinois
showed off new coach Bill Self's full-court defense with a 91-56 victory over
Athletes In Action on Monday.
Self let his players choose the starters, telling them to pick the five best
defenders in practice.
Illinois went ahead 20-4, and then never led by fewer than 10 against the
touring squad of former college players.
Illinois' Brian Cook scored 12 points, Frank Williams 11 and Marcus Griffin
10.
Athletes In Action, playing its sixth game in as many days, was led by
former Northeastern Louisiana player Keith Johnson's 15 points. Ryan Hoover,
who played at Notre Dame, had 10.
