CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Fighting Illini men's and women's basketball teams will be introduced to fans and will scrimmage following the Oct. 14 Illinois-Iowa football game at Memorial Stadium. The event is free and open to the public. Doors at the Assembly Hall are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. Activities get underway at 4:30 p.m. (or 30 minutes after the football game is finished). Should the football game run long, the start time of the basketball activities will be adjusted accordingly.

Season tickets for both Illinois men's and women's programs are currently on sale. Men's basketball single game tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. Oct. 27. Individuals may order by phone (217/333-3470), mail, in person at the Athletics Ticket Office (Assembly Hall) or on-line at www.fightingillini.com.

Women's single game tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Oct. 31. Individuals may order by phone (217/333-3470), mail or in person at the Athletics Ticket Office.

*The Illinois Basketball Media Day is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 12. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. at the Bielfeldt Athletics Administration Building. Men's coach Bill Self will address the media at 2 p.m. followed by women's coach Theresa Grentz at 2:30 p.m. Players from both squads will be available on the floor of the east gym (men's practice floor) of the Ubben Basketball Practice Facility.
