CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- In the first round of play at the ITA Regional Championships held
in Madison, Wisconsin, the U of I Men's Tennis team saw five players
advance to the round of 32.

the tradition we have as one of the top teams in the country."
The highlight of the day came when sophomore Royce Ramey (Dallas,
Texas/L.V. Berkner) defeated the tourney's number five seed, Jason Marshall
