Solomon Siskind

Solomon Siskind

Education:
Siskind received both his bachelor’s degree as a double major in sport management and sociology and his master’s in sport management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in the Illinois' Recreation, Sport and Tourism program.

Responsibilities:
Siskind currently serves as the Coordinator for Illini Way Student-Athlete Development.

Past Experience:
Prior to coming to Illinois, Siskind worked in the NCAA's Office of Inclusion as a member of the 2022-23 NCAA Postgraduate Internship program. While at the NCAA's national office in Indianapolis, Indiana, Siskind supported and led planning and execution of internal and external initiatives related to the office’s five core areas of disability, international, LGBTQ, race/ethnicity, and women and gender equity. He also supported the planning, managing, and execution of large scope events, such as the NCAA Inclusion Forum and Diversity and Inclusion Social Media Campaign. Siskind also helped support the NCAA's Community Engagement unit and served on project teams with the Leadership Development unit for the 2023 Emerging Leaders Seminar and 2023 Student-Athlete Leadership Forum. He also served on the leadership council for the national office's People of Color Employee Engagement Group (EEG). 

Prior to the NCAA, while in graduate school, Siskind served as a research assistant and teaching assistant in the Isenberg School of Management. He also served as student-athlete development intern in the UMass athletics department. During his undergraduate studies, Siskind was a football student-athlete.

Personal:
Siskind is originally from Brockton, Massachusetts.
