Education:
Patrick McQueen earned a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition in 2019 and a master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2021
Job Responsibilities:
McQueen works directly with the Fighting Illini cross country, track and field, and wrestling teams.
Past Experience:
Prior to his full-time role, McQueen completed a strength and conditioning internship with the Fighting Illini. He has also conducted nutrition research at Illinois and neuroscience research at Stanford University School of Medicine. In addition, he brings experience in sports performance and nutrition coaching, working with athletes ranging from youth to Division I.
Personal:
McQueen is from Urbana, Illinois, where he currently resides. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
