Maria (Kenner) McDevitt joined the Illinois Athletics Department in 2001 and serves as an administrative assistant. With more than 25 years of institutional knowledge built from assisting in multiple roles within the Athletics Development team, she has acquired in-depth experience in the cultivation and stewardship of current and potential donors.
Prior to her role in administration, McDevitt was Assistant Director for Special Events and Stewardship from the I FUND where she oversaw all events of the Office of Athletics Development. Her primary role was to coordinate special events such as the Loyalty Circle Dinner, Braggin' Rights Buffet, and Stadium Club, serve as the liaison to the Alumni Association, UIF and University Advancement, and served as office manager for support staff and student workers.
A Rantoul, Illinois native, McDevitt earned a bachelor's degree in 2012 from Eastern Illinois University. McDevitt and her husband Sean, live in Champaign, Ill.
