Education:
Schmitz graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. In 2018, she went on to get her Master of Science in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis: Intercollegiate Athletic Administration Track from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Job Responsibilities:
Schmitz works with a caseload of at-risk student-athletes focusing on study skills, time management, organization, and increasing academic confidence. She also oversees the DIA Tutoring Program supervising all content tutors.
Past Experience:
Schmitz previously worked as an Assistant Learning Specialist at the University of Illinois and the University of Maryland. Prior to that she worked as an undergrad and graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Office of Academic Services for student-athletes.
