Iffland earned a bachelor's degree in computer engineering with a minor in mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1999.

Iffland is the engineer of the database, business process improvement, and internal custom application needs of the department.
Past Experience:
Iffland began his career at the University of Illinois in 1996 as an undergraduate, working for Campus Information Technologies and Educational Services (CITES). In 1999, he joined CITES Departmental Services full time as a research programmer, where he led the creation of a team dedicated to building custom applications for campus departments. During his time at CITES, he worked with DIA since 2007.
