Brendan McGuire spent five seasons as the Assistant Director of Football Video at his alma mater Illinois from 2022-26. McGuire graduated from the University of Illinois in 2020 with a degree in recreation, sport, and tourism, and spent three years as a video student manager for the Fighting Illini football team from 2017-20.

Following graduation, McGuire spent one season as the video coordinator at Austin Peay.

McGuire assisted in all day-to-day video operations for the Fighting Illini, including opponent scouting video for coach and student-athlete review, recruiting film, and management of the student assistants staff.
