Education:
Schilling earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2010 and a master’s degree in sport and exercise science from Northern Colorado in 2013.

Job Responsibilities:
In her current role, Schilling works directly with the Fighting Illini volleyball, men's golf, and women's golf programs.

Past Experience:
Prior to her time at Illinois, Schilling spent two years as an assistant at Hofstra University where she was responsible for the development of women's basketball, softball, women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, and women's golf.

Schilling served as assistant at Villanova University from May 2013 to July 2014 implementing strength and conditioning programs for women’s volleyball, men and women’s rowing, men’s golf and the track and field throwers. She also assisted with football and men's and women's lacrosse.

Prior to Villanova, Schilling served as a volunteer assistant at the University of Northern Colorado from May 2010 to May 2013. She led the design and implementation of the strength programs for men and women’s track and field and women’s swimming and diving while assisting with football, softball and men and women’s tennis.

Personal:
Formerly Emily Esselman, Schilling and her husband, Tim, reside in Champaign.She holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA), and first aid, CPR and AED.
