Isabelle Spingola enters her first season with Illinois women's basketball, serving as an graduate assistant for the program, in 2021-22.  

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Spingola graduated from Marquette University in 2020 after a standout career on the court for the Golden Eagles. Spingola, a four-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team honoree, played in 128 games with 35 starts. She averaged 5.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game during her career, including her senior season in which she averaged career-bests with 10.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2..3 assists. Spingola helped Marquette to a 100-34 record in her four seasons in Milwaukee, including three consecutive NCAA Tournament berths from 2017-19, prior to the tournament's cancellation in her senior campaign due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

In 2020-21, Spingola played professionally for BBC Les Portes Du Soleil Troistorrents on the Switzerland Basketball League, where she averaged 17.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 25 games.
