• Silver medalist at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a 2.14m (7-0 1/4) mark

2024

Indoor

• Placed second in the high jump at the Big Ten Indoor Championships matching the school record 2.21m (7-3)
• Became the first man in 44 years to match Gail Olson's mark originally set in 1979 and again in 1980
• Placed top-2 in the first four meets of the season, winning three of them

Outdoor

• NCAA Championships qualifier (High Jump)
• Leapt 2.17m (7-1 1/2) to take 11th at the NCAA West Preliminaries and qualify to the NCAA Outdoor Championships
• Placed 17th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the high jump, 2.12m (6-11 1/2)
• Jumped the program's third-best high jump at the Fighting Illini Tune-Up, 2.20m (7-2 1/2)
• Placed third in the high jump at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, 2.14m (7-0 1/4)

At Kansas State 2021-23

• Jumped a PB 2.17m (7-1 1/2) and placed fourth at the Big 12 Indoor Championships
• Recorded a PB 6.51m (21-4 1/4) long jump at the UTSA Invitational
• Won the high jump at the Kansas State Winter Invite

Son of Michael Garrett and Lalita Burnett... Has two brothers, Miguel and Michael... Chose Illinois because he "wanted to compete for a team where everyone supports each other, also wanted to be closer to home."
