• Broke the decathlon school record at Big Ten Championships, scoring 7,153 points in route to finishing fourth
• Finished with four top-five finishes in events at Big Ten Championships

2013

Outdoor

• Kicked off the season at the Big Ten/SEC Challenge where he placed seventh in both th 110m hurdles and the long jump with respective marks of 15.66 and 22-0 3/4 (6.72m)
• Finished in 11th place overall in the Big Ten Championship decathlon wherein he recorded three top-five finishes in events
• Placed third in the 400m with a mark of 49.83
• Beat his previous year's personal best in the javelin throw by 17.09m for a new personal best at the mark of 160-6 (48.94m)

Indoor

• Boasted a first place finish in the Illini Classic's heptathlon with an overall score of 5,070
• Took first in three of the seven events in the Illini Classic's heptathlon including the 60m dash (7.00), the 1,000m (3:04.17), and pole vault (4.00m). Finished sixth overall in the Big Ten's heptathlon with a final score of 5,433
• Improved his marks in five of the seven events from the prior Illini Classic's heptathlon to the more recent Big Ten's heptathlon

2012

Outdoor

• Set the 17-year old school record in the decathlon at the Big Ten Championships, scoring 7,150 points
• Recorded personal records in the javelin, discus, pole vault and the 1,500m
• Also competed in the decathlon at the EIU Big Blue Classic

Indoor

• Participated in the heptathlon
• Had a record setting performance at the Big Ten Championships finishing with 5,099 points
• Also participated in the 60m hurdles, 200m, pole vault, long jump, high jump and shot put outside of the heptathlon
• Ran his season best in the 60m hurdles at the Illini Open with a time of 8.69
• Recorded a 22.86 in the 200m at the Mark Colligan Memorial
• Jumped 13-3 (4.05m) at the Illini Open in the pole vault and 20 feet (6.10m) in the long jump at the Illini Open
• Threw a season best 37-7 (11.46m) in the Illini Open
