  • Placed 39th at the NCAA West Prelims with a clearance of 16-4 3/4 ft. (5.00 m)
  • Tied for first place at the Husker B1G Invite in the pole vault with a 5.19 m clearance, his outdoor PR
  • Placed second in the pole vault at the Fighting Illini B1G Relays with a clearance of 5.06 m

  • Took fourth place in the pole vault at the Hawkeye B1G Invitational with a jump of 16'6.75"

  • Scored for the first time at Big Ten Championships with a 16'10.25" (5.14m) clearance to place seventh 
  • Set lifetime best pole vault with a 16'10.75" (5.15m) clearance win the Ole Miss Classic competition 
  • Cleared 16'4" (4.98m) to place second at the Illinois Twilight

  • Competed at Big Ten Championships, placing 13th
  • Cleared 16 feet in three meets 
  • Has set a PR twice this season, clearing 16'2.75" (4.95m) at the Illini Classic on Jan. 27
  • Won the Illinois Open with a height of 15'5.75" (4.72m)
  • Set a PR at the Orange & Blue Open clearing 16'5.5" (5.01m)

2017

  • Competed at Big Ten Championships in the pole vault

  • Competed at Big Ten Championships in the pole vault 
  • Set a personal-best mark of 16'1.25" (4.91m) at the Orange and Blue Open
  • Placed third in the pole vault in his Illini debut at the Border Battle 

High School

  • Two-time IHSA 3A State Championship place-winner 
  • As a senior in 2016, Jazo finished runner-up at the state meet and increased his personal-best mark from 15'4 (4.7m) to 16'1" (4.90m)
  • Won the USATF Region 7 Junior Olympics in 2014
  • Also competed at the USATF National Junior Olympics, USATF Youth National Championships, and the USATF World Youth Trials.
