• Posted his second-best outdoor shot put mark at the Big Ten/SEC Challenge with a distance of 53-2 3/4 (16.2m)
• Recorded three second place finishes in discus at the Bill Cornell Classic (165-4), the Lee Calhoun Memorial (179-5), and at theLSU Alumni Gold Meet (178-10)
• Boasted his career-best discus effort at the Big Ten Championships when he posted a mark of 183-4 (55.89m), which was sufficient for a seventh place finish

Indoor

• Participated in five indoor meets and recorded two top-five finishes
• Placed second at the Illini Classic with his career-best shot put mark of 56-2 1/2 (17.13m)
• Took fifth place in shot put at the IU Relays when he posted his career second-best shot put distance of 55-7 3/4 (16.96m)
