Marcus Anderson

Marcus Anderson is in his first year as graduate manager for the Fighting Illini.

Anderson spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach at Bridgewater College, a Div. III school in Virginia.

Anderson played three years at Lees-McRae College, a Div. II school in Banner Elk, North Carolina. During his final season, Lees-McRae won a school-record 23 games, captured the 2018 Conference Carolinas Tournament championship, and made its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.

Anderson was an honors student at Lees-McRae, named to the conference’s Presidential Honor Roll and Academic All-Conference Team.

A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in sport administration from Lees-McRae in 2018.

Anderson is enrolled in the master’s program in recreation, sport and tourism.
