• Set a PR in the 5K at the Illini Twilight, timing 17:21.07 to place eighth

• Competed for the Illini at NCAA Midwest Regionals and Big Ten Championships
• Set personal-best 6K finish time of 22:15.1 at the Bradley Pink Classic
• Recorded 5K PR at the Loyla Lakefront Invitational with a finish time of 18:14.72  
• Placed 11th overall and was the fourth to finish for the Illini in her season debut at the Walt Crawford Open

• Placed fourth in the 5K at the Illinois Twilight with a time of 18:03.49

• Made her Illini debut at the Illinois Open, timing 10:28.66 in the 3K 
• Set a PR in the 3K with a time of 10:25:01 at the Orange & Blue Open

2017

Cross Country

• Set a new 6K personal record at the Midwest Regional with a time of 22:59.8
• Finished the Big Ten 6K in 23:11.4, placing 101st overall
• Placed fourth on the team at the Ed Nuttycombe Invite, riming 23:06.5 in her first collegiate 6K
• Made her collegiate debut at the Walt Crawford Open, timing 18:49.44 in the 5K

• Seven-time IHSA State Qualifier
• 2016-17 Downers Grove South Female Athlete of the Year
• Two-time West Suburban Gold Conference Champion
• Holds the Downers Grove South indoor girls 3200m record with a time of 11:02.09

Personal

• Daughter of Andy and Lorri Stapleton
• Has two younger sisters, Meghan and Erin
• Eight-time Downers Grove South High Honor Roll
• Chose Illinois because it offered her a chance to compete at the highest level academically and athletically
• Majoring in computer engineering
