• Launched the outdoor season at the Big Ten/SEC Challenge where he tied for first overall in pole vault at the mark of 16-0 3/4 (4.90m)
• Placed second at the Lee Calhoun Memorial with an improved mark of 16-6 3/4 (5.05m)
• Recorded his career-best mark in pole vault at the Big Ten Championships where he cleared the height of 16-7 1/4 (5.06m) to finish in a tie for fifth place

• Participated in two outtings including the EIU Special and the Big Ten's, where he posted his best indoor mark of 16-4 (4.98m) to finish in 18th place

• Won every pole vault event his junior and senior year
