• Reached season-best mark 53'4.35" (16.26m) in shot put at the Ole Miss Classic (3/30)
• Threw a season-best 142'3"(43.35m) in hammer throw at the War Eagle Invite (4/19)

• Competed in shot put and weight throw at five meets for the Illini
• Set a new PR in the weight throw with a 50’1.25” (15.27m) at the Frank Sevigne (2/1)
• Threw a season-best 52’8.75” (16.07) in shot put at the Frank Sevigne (2/1)

• Placed sixth in the shot put while competing unattached at the Illinois Twilight
• Also competed in the discus and hammer throw at the Twilight meet. 

Indoor

• Competed unattached in the shot put and weight throw at the Illinois Open, marking his collegiate debut 
• Set a PR in weight throw at the Orange & Blue Open with a mark of 43'3" (13.18m)

• Placed fourth in the discus and fifth in the shot put at the IHSA Class 3A Niles West Sectional
• Finished fifth in the shot put at the 2017 Illinois Top Times meet
