
Hernandez Signs Pro Contract With France's Terville Florange Olympique Club

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois volleyball alum Averie Hernandez has signed a contract with Terville Florange Olympique Club and will begin her professional playing career in France.
Hernandez spent two seasons with the Fighting Illini, competing for the Orange and Blue during the 2024 and 2025 campaigns. The Bloomington, Illinois, native appeared in 60 matches while amassing 383 kills, 54 aces, 54 blocks, and 466.5 points across her time in Champaign.
In 2024, Hernandez ranked second on the team in kills, third in aces, and fourth in digs and blocks while starting all 31 matches for the Illini. As a senior in 2025, Hernandez led Illinois in aces while ranking fourth in digs and appearing in all 29 contests.
Prior to her time in Champaign, Hernandez played for Northwestern from 2022-23, logging 29 outings while compiling 232 kills, 31 aces, 98 digs, and 27 blocks.
Across her four-year collegiate career, Hernandez totaled 615 kills, 85 aces, 81 blocks, and 743.5 points.
