
Kara Lint Signs with Illinois Softball

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Illinois softball head coach Jenna Hall announced the addition of Kara Lint on Tuesday afternoon. Lint, an incoming freshman, has signed a Big Ten Athletics Aid Agreement and will join the program for the 2026-27 campaign.
A right-handed pitcher, Lint accumulated many accolades during her playing career at Dover High School in Dover, Ohio. In 2026, she was named First Team All-Ohio, Ohio Cardinal Conference Pitcher of the Year, and Division Three East District Player of the Year. In 2025, she helped lead Dover to a state championship title and also earned Division Three East District Honorable Mention recognition. During her sophomore year in 2024, she was also named First Team All-Ohio and East District Player of the Year.
Lint played club softball for the Ohio Outlaws, winning the D1 Fastpitch Fall Brawl, Great Lakes Tournament, and the Colorado Independence Day Tournament, among others.
A four-time academic honor roll selection in high school, Lint intends to major in elementary education at Illinois.
