STANFORD, Calif. — Illinois women's golf sits tied for tenth after round one at the NCAA Stanford Regional, carding a 301 (+17) on Monday.
Anna Ritter is the team's low scorer through opening day, finishing at an even 71, and currently tied for 16th place. Ritter carded a trio of birdies on the front nine, taking just two strokes on hole three.
Behind Ritter was freshman Alexis Myers, making her NCAA Regionals debut at the Stanford Golf Course. Myers carded a 75 (+4), to put her in a tie for 44th, and tied for the sixth-best scoring average on par fives (4.25).
Brielle Mapanao, coming off consecutive career-best finishes at the Boilermaker Spring Classic and Big Ten Championships, notched a 77 (+6), while Victoria Zheng and Erica Lee each registered a 78 (+7)
Host and No. 1 ranked Stanford holds the team lead at 275 (-9), while Emma Bunch of New Mexico State holds the individual lead at 64 (-7).

The Orange and Blue will tee off for round two tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12, from hole ten. Lee will kick off the round at 10:55 a.m. CT, with Zheng, Mapanao, Myers, and Ritter to follow in 11 minute increments.
