Freshman guard Keaton Wagler led Illinois to a 71–59 win over Iowa on Saturday night in Houston, sending the Illini to the Final Four. The All-American scored a game-high 25 points on 8-of-17 shooting, including 14 points in the second half, while adding three assists as he controlled the game and pushed the Illini to cut down the nets as NCAA Regional champions for the first time in over two decades.
Wagler, a freshman from Shawnee, Kansas, is majoring in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois.
