CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini women's tennis will close out its regular season nonconference schedule on Friday, Feb. 20, when Wisconsin comes to town. Action from Atkins Tennis Center is slated for 5 p.m. CT.

As Illinois and Wisconsin were not scheduled to face each other during the 13-match Big Ten slate, the sides opted to meet in an out-of-conference match.

Illinois holds a deceptive 3-5 record on the 2026 campaign, with all five losses coming to ranked opposition. Wisconsin is off to a 6-2 start and owns a 2-0 reading when playing on the road this season. The Badgers have won their last two matches, picking up victories at Arkansas and vs. Kansas in Fayetteville.

The Orange and Blue are coming off a busy couple of weeks after co-hosting the ITA Indoor Team National Championship and hitting the road to pick up a win at Iowa State. From Feb. 6-8, Illinois faced off against the nation's best, taking the courts opposite No. 3 North Carolina, No. 7 Duke, and No. 12 Vanderbilt. Illinois' wins have come over Miami (OH), DePaul, and Iowa State so far this season.

Following Friday's action, head coach Evan Clark's crew will open Big Ten play with road matches at Nebraska and at Iowa on March 6 and 8, respectively.
