LINCOLN, Neb. – Despite a career-high 25 points from Cearah Parchment and a 22-point outing from Berry Wallace, the Illinois women's basketball team fell to No. 24 Nebraska, 81-75, on the road Saturday.
The Fighting Illini (15-5, 5-4) had four players score in double figures, led by Parchment, who posted her sixth double-double of the season after finishing with 25 points and 11 rebounds.
Wallace tacked on 22 points, six rebounds, and two steals, while Destiny Jackson chipped in as well with 13 points and two steals. Maddie Webber scored nine of 11 points in the fourth quarter.
Illinois returns to State Farm Center on Wednesday night to host No. 3 UCLA for its Hail to the Orange Out game. Tipoff between the Fighting Illini and the Bruins is set for 6 p.m. CT on B1G+.
