CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – University of Illinois students acted in record time to Fighting Illini men's basketball ticket sales, purchasing the allotment of 3,000 students tickets for State Farm Center in a span of just 18 minutes.Â
This breaks last year's record of 26 minutes and marks the fifth year in a row that Orange Krush student season tickets have sold out:
2021-22 – Less than three hours
2022-23 – 36 minutes
2023-24 – Less than 24 hours
2024-25 – 26 minutes
2025-26 – 18 minutes
Fighting Illini Basketball has high expectations once again in 2025-26, with the team returning three starters from a 22-win campaign, NCAA Tournament Second Round appearance, and final kenpom ranking of 17th last season. Illinois is the winningest team in Big Ten play over the last six years of the Brad Underwood era and stands as one of just four teams nationally with six straight 20-win regular seasons.
