Illinois baseball grabbed three wins at home vs Maryland to claim its first series sweep of the season. Designated hitter Greg LaChance led the way going 5-for-10 with eight runs, a double (4), a home run (3), five RBI , three walks and a stolen base. In Game 2 he notched his sixth game this season with at least two RBI, then extended his season-long hitting streak to seven games on Sunday.
