CHAMPAIGN, Ill.– A limited number of tickets remain for next week's Kickin' Cancer dinner and auction, set for Wednesday, April 16 at Gordyville USA. Illinois Head Coach Brad Underwood welcomes fellow Big Ten head coaches Chris Collins of Northwestern and Dana Altman of Oregon and national TV analyst and former Purdue star Robbie Hummel as featured guests at this year's event.
The trio will join Underwood, chair of the Coaches vs. Cancer Council, for an evening at Gordyville USA, a horse show arena in Gifford, Illinois, located 30 minutes from Champaign. While the event has a western theme, Illini gear is encouraged as well. The entire event will run from 5-9 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m. The evening includes dinner, both silent and live auctions, and plenty of memorable stories and laughs from the speakers on stage.
Kickin' Cancer has grown into one of the top fundraising dinners of the Coaches vs. Cancer program nationally. Last year's program had a crowd of 1,700 and raised approximately $500,000 in the fight against cancer.
The event is once again approaching a sellout, but tickets can still be purchased online.
