
Illinois Volleyball Announces Spring Slate

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Illinois volleyball announced its spring schedule on Monday. The Fighting Illini will play six matches over the course of two months.
"We have a competitive slate of spring matches that will help us develop and grow as individuals and as a team," Illinois Volleyball Head Coach Chris Tamas said. "We look forward to some great matchups against top tier opponents that have a variety of styles of play, which are important to learn about to prepare for next season. We will also be in some venues that allow for Illinois fans from all over the state, and surrounding, to attend. We look forward to these matches."
The team begins the spring slate on March 8th when the Illini squad faces Missouri at the High Performance, St. Louis, Beal Center. First serve is slated for 5 p.m.
Illinois faces a pair of opponents on March 29. The Fighting Illini battle Milwaukee and host Loyola Chicago. Both contests will be closed to the public.
A match with Marquette is scheduled for April 5 at University of Dubuque. The Orange and Blue take on Iowa State immediately following the first contest.
The final match of the spring slate will take place on April 12 at The Academy VBC in Indiana. The Fighting Illini take on Kentucky at noon CT.
Illinois volleyball closed out the 2024 season with an 18-13 record, including a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
