Illinois Women’s Golf Signs Eileen Lee to Class of 2026

News

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Illinois women's golf head coach Renee Slone announced the addition of Eileen Lee to the team's 2026 signing class. Lee signed her Big Ten Athletics Aid Agreement on Wednesday evening and will join the program in the fall of 2026.

Lee's Highlights: Champion, Legends Collegiate Preview; Runner-up, LJT George Hannon Jr. Invitational; Runner-up, CT Pan Junior Championship; Top ten, 98th Texas Jr. Girls Amateur; Three-time 6A Regional State Qualifier; Third place at 6A Regional State; Three-time team MVP at Plano West; Ranked 36th in AJGA Rolex class.

Why Illinois? "I chose Illinois because of the amazing coaching staff and because it felt like a place with a perfect balance of golf and academics. I love the competitive yet supportive environment. I can see myself growing at Illinois, both as a person and a golfer."

Slone's Take: "Eileen has demonstrated a tremendous amount of resilience and determination in the past year. After experiencing an injury last year that sidelined her for a couple of months, she has worked diligently to come back stronger than ever.  Her "can do" attitude is contagious.
