WILMINGTON, N.C. – Illinois women's golf is tied for 15th place through two rounds after carding a team total of 297 (+9) in the second round of the Landfall Tradition.
Victoria Zheng led the way with a an even 72 (E) in the second round. She is currently tied for 22nd. Saturday marks Zheng's third round leading the Illini this season. Zheng also had a bogey free front nine with six pars and three birdies. She is tied for fourth overall in total pars for the tournament.
Anna Ritter finished the second round at 73 (+1) tying her for 17th. Ritter is also tied for second in par 3s across the tournament.
Alexis Myers, Erica Lee, and Brielle Mapanao all shot the same score for the second round. The 76 (+4) puts Myers tied for 69th place. Both Lee and Mapanao are tied for 80th
The Fighting Illini will be back Sunday with final round action starting at 8:45 a.m. CT.
