CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illini's fall slate resumes on Friday with three Illinois student-athletes competing at the Hope College RSM Invite in Holland, Mich. The three-day event, which runs through Sunday, will see the Orange and Blue take part in both singles and doubles play against strong competition.
Illinois will be represented by freshmen Sasha Colleu and Adam Jilly and junior Jeremy Zhang.
Colleu and Zhang enter the weekend after making their respective fall debuts at the Harvard Chowderfest from Sept. 19-21. The Illini tandem combined to earn a ranked doubles victory while also both picking up a singles win during their time on the East Coast.
Jilly returns to action after playing in the prequalifying singles draw at the ITA All-American Championships. The Hungary native already has a ranked singles triumph on his college resume, which he earned at Battle In The Bay on Sept. 12, while he was tabbed the Big Ten Freshman of the Week following his college debut in San Francisco.
Action from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, is set to begin on Friday.
