CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – No. 17 Illinois fell to Maryland, 91-70, at State Farm Center on Thursday night.
Kasparas Jakucionis scored a team-high 21 pioints, his eighth 20-point game of the season, while adding seven rebounds, and seven assists.
Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn recorded his sixth scoring effort in double figures, logging 15 points off the bench after posting a team-high nine points in the first half. Gibbs-Lawhorn also accumulated four rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
Kylan Boswell marked his fourth-consecutive double-digit scoring output with 14 points. He also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out an assist.
Tre White added nine points and six rebounds.
No. 17 Illinois closes its two-game homestand on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT against Northwestern. The sold-out in-state showdown between the Illini and the Wildcats at State Farm Center will air on Big Ten Network.
